Dabel Gold Project
Adola Gold Belt · ~50 km south-east of Moyale
A high-conviction, recently-discovered gold project sitting within the same geological corridor as the ~4.5 Moz Lega Dembi mine — the region's flagship producing asset, located just 250 km north across the Ethiopian border. Artisanal miners extracted 3,500 kg of gold over two years (2021–2023), providing rare ground-level proof of mineralisation at meaningful scale across a 25 km × 10 km trend.

Primary mineralisation hosted by intensely sheared, strongly silicified schists with quartz vein stringers and lenses — consistent with the belt's proven structural style. A high-grade wide quartz vein with visible free gold was also identified. The project sits adjacent to the continental margin Mutito shear zone.
Hard rock workings at Hillo cover a confirmed strike length of 330 m × 50 m, open to north and south — government-halted after only 3 months of activity, meaning true strike extent remains untested. Extensive alluvial gravel fans, already heavily worked, are believed sourced from a major mineralised structure up-slope with a potential strike length exceeding 6 km.
Six channel and grab samples were collected and submitted to SGS Mwanza — an internationally accredited laboratory — for sample preparation and assaying, providing credible third-party validation of grade and continuity.
Exploration teams are mobilising to commence detailed channel sampling and mapping of all workings in preparation for a priority drilling programme. Concurrent soil geochemical surveys are planned across the two principal priority areas, alongside a full mapping and sampling programme over the 6 km ridge to identify the alluvial source structure.
